Julie Kaneshiro, DAc
was born in Hilo, went to college on the east coast, lived in Japan and then studied Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine in Portland Oregon before finally returning home in 2006 to her beloved community in Hilo, Hawaii. She helped run Kaiao Community Garden, including two innovative grant programs that empowered elementary school children, adults with disabilities, and historically underserved high school students to grow gardens, cook nutritious food and help take care of themselves and their families body-mind-spirit. For the last 10 years, she has been committed to veterans receiving holistic care. She loves offering community acupuncture because it makes the wonders of acupuncture accessible to all!

Lori Pusateri, DAc
considers herself a lifelong student of the healing arts and enjoys combining many modalities into her sessions. After first becoming a certified Yoga Teacher and licensed Massage Therapist, she went on to complete her Masters of Science, and then Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu. Lori is happy to be a part of Hawaii Community Acupuncture and be able to offer low-cost, effective treatments to the community. When she’s not happily working, Lori loves spending time in nature with her dog, creating herbal remedies, and reading one of the books on her ever-growing list!
